Aqua Sphere Sphera Freedive Mask

Hey freedivers & spearos, while the Sphera Freedive Mask offers a comfortable fit and low volume specifically designed for pure freedivers, the new MAKO Mini mask offers these same features making it a perfect mask for pure freedivers AND because the lenses are flat and tempered, the Mini provides the perfect optics and durability for spearfishing as well.

The Sphera is one of the lowest volume dive masks, which is why it has been popular among pure freedivers and freedive instructors, worldwide. The skirt and nose pocket are made of top quality silicone to provide maximum comfort. And the curved Plexisol lens provides 180 degree visibility with minimal drag.

NOTE: This mask is not recommended for spearfishing. This is a highly specialized mask specifically designed for competitive freediving and freedive training. Because the lens is made of Plexisol, (not tempered glass), it is subject to scratching. Additionally, because the lens is curved, it can alter perception.

NOTE: NEVER use a lighter to defog the Sphera's Plexisol lens! Always use the toothpaste method described in the mask defog video to the right.

My glass lens mask fogs easily but this one doesn't, I had one before but lost it, this is the second buy, suits me well.

unique mask March 28, 2016
Reviewer: freediver from belmont, CA United States
This is an awesome mask if you do freediving on a deeper depths and it works for your face. All my friends have it and very happy with it.  You do have to be careful with plastic lenses, they won't take abuse and will scratch if you are not careful enough.
I also like it very much, but alas, it is not for me (this is second Sphere I've got). I have deep mouth-nose creases, and a fairly large face. While mask performs as it should above 20m, below that depths it starts to leak through the creases on my face.   But it is one-of-the-kind mask, worth to try.

Lens scratches easily October 5, 2015
Reviewer: Kenneth Dubon from Orlando, FL United States
Literally opened the mask out of the box, used white tooth paste to defog lens, rinsed out and both lenses were scratched to hell.  Waste of 40.00, I don't recommend this mask bc of the material is so easily scratched.
