Mako Spearguns will soon be available at select spearfishing and dive stores.

Currently, all guns are built one at a time in our showroom, according to the customers’ specifications.

  • We first cut the barrel to the required length.
  • The water stoppers are then press fitted into the barrel
  • Screw holes are then drilled in to the barrel for attaching grips and muzzles.
  • Then the Mako stickers are installed on the barrels.

Once the barrel is prepared, the gun is then assembled according to the customers’ requirements.

  • The grip is installed.
  • The muzzle is installed (open muzzle or closed muzzle).
  • The bands are cut and tied according to the customers requirements.
  • The gun is rigged with the required shooting line (single wrap or double wrap and standard or break away).
  • If a reel is required the reel is also loaded and installed.

After assembly is complete, the trigger mechanism goes through its’ final test and the gun is shipped.

As you can see, these guns are not massed produced and quite a bit of time is required for the production of a single gun. From a customer service standpoint, this approach has been very successful for us. However, this business model is not conducive for a large scale production required to fill large orders for resellers while still being able to provide the best customer service available.

Soon, our barrels will be fully prepared when they arrive at our facility. We will then be able to build guns faster and reducing labor costs associated with the production. The various options currently handled in our showroom will then be offered at the dealer level. Our dealers will be equipped to offer various muzzles, band configurations and rigging options to provide the value added services that our customers have come to appreciate.
