Item Description

MAKO / Primeline Speargun Bands (Standard ID 14mm/16mm/20mm)

SOLD BY THE FOOT: MAKO Spearguns power bands are recognized worldwide as the best speargun power bands in the world. This is because they are produced for us by Primeline Industries of Akron Ohio.

If it is not made by Primeline, it is an inferior speargun power band.

Warning: The quality of the MAKO Spearguns power bands is so high that there are reports of persons selling counterfeit MAKO Spearguns Power Bands. That is why we now put our name directly on the bands, ensuring you are getting 100% Genuine Primeline latex tubing made specifically for MAKO Spearguns.

Warning: Not all Latex Tubing is the same. If it is not made by Primeline it is lower quality latex. This due to Primeline avoiding the mastication process employed by other manufacturers by only using liquid latex. Their continuous dip process results in a superior base product with superior physical properties including greater tear resistance - an essential characteristic in providing strength and performance to speargun bands. When compared to other manufacturing processes, Primeline’s continuous dip process is far more time consuming and labor intensive, but the result is the best speargun power bands.

We use only the highest quality factories and material for all of our spearfishing and freediving gear. But, because we sell direct to divers, instead of through dive shops, we can sell it for less.

Choose between:

  • 14mm Standard 1/8” ID (ID is OK for beaded wishbones)
    • Available in Black, high vis green, orange, yellow, purple, pink, blue, white, red
  • 16mm Standard 1/8” ID (ID is OK for beaded wishbones)
    • Available in Black, high vis green, orange, yellow, purple, pink, blue, white, red
  • 20mm Standard 1/8” ID (ID is OK for beaded wishbones)
    • Available in Black

NOTE: Wishbones for small ID tubing can be made from MAKO Bulk dyneema (knot both ends instead of beads).

NOTE: 14mm = 9/16", 16mm = 5/8", 20mm = 3/4"

Latex tubing is sold by the foot.

If you need some tools to get the job done, jump over here and check out the MAKO Attack Pack Tool Kit.

Super solid band material. Easiest way to get a 28cm backup band for my roller gun was to order from Mako, watch the mako instructionals, and make them myself. And for way cheaper of a price. Made backups for friends, too, and still have leftover band material. Can't beat mako for stuff like this.
