Speargun Bands by Primeline Industries

MAKO Spearguns power bands are recognized worldwide as the best speargun power bands in the world. This is because they are produced for us by Primeline Industries of Akron Ohio.

If it is not made by Primeline, it is an inferior speargun power band.

Warning: The quality of the MAKO Spearguns power bands is so high that there are reports of persons selling counterfeit MAKO Spearguns Power Bands. That is why we now put our name directly on the bands, ensuring you are getting 100% Genuine Primeline latex tubing made specifically for MAKO Spearguns.

Warning: Not all Latex Tubing is the same. If it is not made by Primeline it is lower quality latex. This due to Primeline avoiding the mastication process employed by other manufacturers by only using liquid latex. Their continuous dip process results in a superior base product with superior physical properties including greater tear resistance - an essential characteristic in providing strength and performance to speargun bands. When compared to other manufacturing processes, Primeline’s continuous dip process is far more time consuming and labor intensive, but the result is the best speargun power bands.

We use only the highest quality factories and material for all of our spearfishing and freediving gear. But, because we sell direct to divers, instead of through dive shops, we can sell it for less.

Choose between:

  • 14mm Standard 1/8” ID (ID is OK for beaded wishbones)
  • 14mm Small 1/16” ID (ID is too small for beaded wishbones)
  • 16mm Standard 1/8” ID (ID is OK for beaded wishbones)
  • 20mm Standard 1/8” ID (ID is OK for beaded wishbones)

NOTE: Wishbones for small ID tubing can be made from MAKO Bulk dyneema (knot both ends instead of beads).

NOTE: 14mm = 9/16", 16mm = 5/8", 20mm = 3/4"

Latex tubing is sold by the foot.

Long lasting February 1, 2018
Reviewer: Robert Barton from Panama City, FL United States
Had my old bands since I got the gun over a year ago. I'm right on the water and get out there as often as my better half lets me. Got these as back ups in case something goes wrong with the ones on my gun when I go to shorten them. Bands are less punchy than I remember, but I'm excited to install them on my gun and see how they work.

Great band material as always.  Keeps loading energy for qa good long time and seems to be pretty slow on UV rot around the band ties.

I think that elongation is also good and easy to use. I'm looking forward to how long I can use it later.
* As a single question, is there treatment for bungee rubber?
